Nearing 31 years old, with the love of my life, Jason and our daughter Alyssa in tow. I take enough pictures of it, why not write it all down?

Silly girl
Last night at dinner Allie had a slight breakdown due to her disrupted sleeping pattern. Right there in lonestar she screamed, cried and drew all sorts of attention. There was a young couple at a table behind her. The guy gave us the dirtiest look, as though we ruined his whole day with our fussy toddler. After remembering the magical powers of tv, iPhone videos and toy story the movie, we got smart. Allie went into baby coma and ate the rest of her dinner without protest. Right before t was time to leave, Jason decided to give her the loaf of bread to play with. So there she was, eating it whole. I would like to point out that in the background of my photo, the lady is laughing. That's the mean look guys woman. Take that baby haters. My kid won you over. You and everyone else, at least everyone who noticed Allie carrying an entire loaf of bread out of the restaurant. You go girl!

A rough night...
My daughter used to be a great sleeper. Until recently that is. For the last week she has been up frequently throughout the night and up early in the morning. Last night was the culmination. She has a good day, saw her favorite sitter, ate pudding mixed with veggies for dinner, went to be as normal. 2 hours later holy heck broke out. She woke mid scream and after being rescued from her crib by daddy continued the hysteria. I listened for a few minutes, waiting for the noise to subside, before realizing it was not going to. Even with mommy rescuing her AND daddy, the tears continued. For 45 minutes. It so frustrating as a parent to not know what's wrong. We asked her questions: does tummy get? No. Hungry? No. Thirsty? No. Teeth hurt? No answer. I guess we have a winner. Poor baby. Only a little midnight Elmo could relax her. Thank God for that little monster. Let's hope we have improvement tonight. Midnight Elmo just makes mommy sleepy.....
